As other Chasters continue hybernating because of slow Charice news, our friends in Charicemania are going gaga over the most recent rumor about Cha appearing in an action/comedy movie entitled "Here Comes The Boom". As of writing, they are still filming the movie but we have not heard any confirmation from Cha if she really is a part of the movie or not. However, her younger brother Carl, has posted it on his Facebook wall saying "Hell Yeah!" I asked him if this is legit but he did not answer. But it's from IMDB, so it must be legit.
Update. Just a few minutes after this blog was first published, Charice confirmed that she is indeed playing the character of Malia in this movie. However, she then apologized for not being able to provide us with more details about her character's last name and the role she will be portraying.
About the Movie. Aside from Charice, IMDB says among the credited cast of "Here Comes The Boom" include Salma Hayek, Kevin James, Henry Winkler, Joe Rogan, Bas Rutten, Alexandra Bussell, Germaine de Leon and Shelly Desai. According to The Wrap “James will play a physics teacher whose school is facing drastic budget cuts. In order to earn money to save his best friend’s job and the music program that his students hold dear, he moonlights as an MMA fighter, and ultimately winds up doing battle in the UFC.”
Charice as Malia. Charice can sing so it is safe to speculate that she will be part of the school's Glee club or she may be one of the students who love the school's music program so much that she asked her professor to find ways to save it. Her professor then approached his best friend (James) to help him save the music program so James moonlights as an MMA fighter and later joined in the UFC. Sadly, the movie will be shown on July 27 of next year yet. But good news is Chaddicts still have ample time to speculate about Charice's role. I know Chasters have very creative minds. Right Chasters?
